So I come in have a bandeja paisa and my wife got a steak with onions and 2 sodas, and leave paying 72$, they automatically add gratuity onto every check then still have where you add the tip I didn’t see it, so double tip for those who miss it, food was decent there double dipping to get customers on extra money, I’d avoid this place. Never will come here again.

This was my first experience dining at this place, and unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The service was horrible, and the staff had an attitude. The soup of the day was not good at all—it tasted very watered down and lacked flavor. The service was also extremely slow. It took a long time for someone to come to our table, and we waited a long time for the items we requested. Overall, the food and service did not meet my expectations, and I was disappointed with my first experience here.

This restaurant honestly stole my heart. The food was fresh, flavorful, and the price was absolutely on point. I ordered the Especial del Día, and everything hit the spot the soup was hearty and full of flavor, the plate was well portioned, and the soda came included, which made it an even better deal. For the price, the quality and value were excellent. The meal felt homemade, comforting, and satisfying. Great food, fair pricing, and a welcoming feel — I would definitely come back. Cantera is a hidden gem in Toms River!

Ate there for the first time yesterday. The place is beautiful on the inside with hand painted murals and sturdy tables. They use ipads for a menu - like the technology usage here. The food was really excellent and quite alot for what you pay. Staff was extremely friendly. The deep fryed pork belly was amazing! Steak was outstanding! Highly recommend people make this a stop.

This place is a GEM! So happy we gave it a try. Greeted by our beautiful server Donna who was very helpful with explaining some of the menu items as this was our first time having Colombian food. We even brought our own BYOB which was a plus as well. Started with appetizers the mini empanadas which were DELISHIOUS and theirs sauces to accommodate are very tasty. Our other appetizer was areapitas con hogao so GOOD!For our entree we enjoyed The mini bandeja paisa fin de semana. This was so flavorful and the beans were Chefs kiss!!! And for dessert my husband had Colombian coffee and chicharron dulce. All the servers are very friendly and come over to your table to make sure everything is good. Donna our server was so kind when i asked her for limes for our cocktails. She even gave us extra sauces to go with our left over mini empanadas. Their homemade sauce are to die for especially the garlic one and the pineapple one was also very good. Then it was a pleasure to see the owner Maria come to our table to ask us how everything was.
